Two city-listed paddlecraft launches offer access to the Root River.
These are canoe and kayak access points; use Pershing Park for a lake-going trailer boat.

Tent and RV sites include water and electric service; the campground has showers, a dump station and trails.
The lake is not visible from campsites, and the bluff overlook does not provide water access. Reserve before setting up.
